Tested in Antarctica, China, and on Everest, the Mission Down 8000M Suit revolutionizes the down summit suit with an adaptable, modular two-piece construction, built from premium materials, and featuring functional storage not just for the summit but also for the trek to Camp 3. Built with 2L Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) Nylon Ripstop w/ HyperDRY® 900FP Goose Down and ultra-durable Spectra Ripstop in high wear areas, the Mission Down 8000M Suit can withstand frigid temperatures, high winds, and rope lines. We created an adaptable suit system by making it two separate pieces: You can remove the 900-fill down jacket and wear it on its own at Basecamp to reduce the packing load. Then, for a summit push, you can attach the jacket to the internal vest and bib pants with a secure horizontal zipper. Carry everything you need in the suit with the internal vest pockets accessible through vertical zips on the jacket. Plus, there are strategically placed, insulated pockets throughout the jacket and bib pants. The bib pant features a back stuff pocket for an O2 tank for the ascent or the jacket on warm descents. Finally, the jacket and bib pant pack down into two separate stuff sacks, allowing for easy transport throughout the expedition.
