The Valhalla Squamish Trail Fund gives back to the Sea to Sky Route Developers Fund
2020 was a big year for route development in Squamish. Climbing was hugely impacted by the public health uncertainties and many turned to the mostly solo art of scrubbing new lines. In October, the Fund donated $1,000 to the bolt fund to help fund the development of new climbing routes.
There is a hefty cost of both dollars and time that goes into the routes we enjoy. If you’re a climber, consider donating to the bolt fund: seatoskyclimbing.ca
A huge thanks is owed to all of the Squamish route developers and crag keepers. They donate enormous amounts of time to the largely unseen and thankless work of vertical landscaping in a coastal rainforest. We tip our helmets to you.
A special thanks also goes out to every one of you who purchases VPO logo’d gear at the Squamish store. All of the gross profit from those sales goes directly into the Trail Fund and into our local outdoor infrastructure. Your dollars helped fund the development of new climbing routes in Squamish – thank you!
